The making of the props of "The White Queen" + Butterflies Hat

After done making the crown and the necklace, you can refer back to these two links if you like to have a look back on the crown:

After done the crown and necklace, I got contacted by a friend asking whether I would like to buy some feather from her to make props or accessories since I have big passion in making them. I decided to buy and make a shoulder wear with feathers to match the White Queen theme. I bought 100 feathers.  I measure and sketch the shoulder sleeve cutting based on a cheongsam of my sister who also is the model for this photoshoot. I followed the cutting and customised them into shorter sleeves. I hand sew them with a adjustable cross lines at the back which can be attached or detached. Then, I bought a RM5 fabric glue to stick the feather which is the tedious part of the process. I iron the feathers one by one to flatten and straighten the feathers. Then I stick them one by one, one row at a time and wait them dry.

Making of props for White Queen project

Images above shown one on the left is the earliest sketch I have made before finalising and the one on the right is the second look as part of the project that I want to photographed in this white themed project.

As I mentioned earlier, you can see this was based on the initial sketch design that I try to make but yet I feel not very satisfying although i initially do want to have the net eye brows to add and give the oddness as what I want to portray.

Sketch for Upcoming Photoshoot Project

Sorry for the long delay of updates on my blog, recently have been busy managing and revamping my blogs. Yes I have a few blogs. Here's a very rough sketch of the look and feel and makeup concept that I want to do for my next project working with my makeup artist friend and hairstylist.

I ended up didn't spend too much time tidying the painting and lines, just roughly do as I just wanna use this to show my partners the idea. And also, because i thinking if this going to be the masterpiece, then I might as well not turn it into photoshoot. So I pay less attentions to the details. I also do notice my painting and drawing skills dropped after long time absence on drawings.

But overall, I still do not want to disappoint myself too much and also my readers and spoilt the standard and image of being an artist. I still ended up trying to make it look presentable.  I hope I did. What do you think?

Below is just a clearer version to show how the makeup I want it to be to my makeup artist and hairstylist. Wish me good luck!

Digital Portrait

I know viewers might get bored for seeing many times of showing digital portrait. But I have to show it, because its my first time do digital portrait! haha.. you gotta give me a chance to show off LOLZ.. kidding.

Anyway, the reason why I do this is because I remember I said the aim is to learn from each other of the skill that each member good at. Thus, its my time to learn to try do digital portrait from Takeshi's influence and inspirations. Therefore, here is it. I know I didn't follow exactly, fully the whole image of the original photo, especially the hair and clothes as I not that good and i also prefer to manipulate them a little since I am not strong as in copying skill/photocopy skill.
Comments and critiques are greatly welcome and appreciated. Thank you.
